Laney Price Fleming
Educator | Choreographer | Artistic Director
Laney has been dancing since she was five years old, when she began studying ballet, jazz and tap. Throughout her adolescence she studied pointe, hawaiian, hip hop, musical theater and various types of partner dance.
Laney went on to complete her bachelors at Sonoma State University majoring in Theater Arts- Dance. During her undergraduate degree she focused my attention on modern and contemporary dance. Throughout her college education she performed and choreographed for various college productions.
Laney went on to obtain her master’s degree from Sonoma State University in Education- Curriculum, Teaching and Learning with an emphasis in Dance Education. While completing her masters program she focused her thesis on the educational benefits of dance. You can read more about her thesis and graduate work under the "Graduate School" page.
While in graduate school, Laney opened up her own dance studio in Healdsburg, California and later moved her studio to Windsor, California for almost seven years. She enjoyed her time owning, teaching and directing her studio, but has now chosen to focus her attention back to her own family and teaching in schools.
Laney is excited to bring her knowledge and passion for dance to her students. She believes that Dance should be approached in a creative, fun and supportive environment where children are challenged by their own incentive to succeed. You can expect that her classes will be filled with energy, hard work and lots of laughs.
